Jony James Band is a modern day blues band raised on “old school”. Hard hittin’ and aimed for your heart, they give you all they’ve got every show.

Jony has been playing gigs since the 1960’s, and has toured for the last thirty years. For the past eleven he has been fronting his own band playing guitar, vocals and writing songs.
With him for the past five years is Rod Horning on bass and Kent “Boom Boom” Leech on drums. This line up has released three independent CDs (the first release hit the top forty play list on WXXI in Rochester, New York) and they average two hundred and fifty shows a year.

Recently they have signed with Blue Wave Records, and have released a powerful new CD "In This World". But amazing as the new album is, the true Jony James Blues Band Experience is in their petal-to-the-metal live performances. Jony may tell you not to let it, but watching these guys let it all out is guaranteed to blow your mind.
