The Blues Disciples have been a touring band for over seven yrs. However, they are practically unknown in their own backyard. They have appeared at Jazz Fest once as Coco Roubiceax’s backup band after doing two tours of France with him. They have opened up for Johnny Winter (whom Pat recorded an album with in 1978 “White, Hot and Blue”) and Brent Anderson at House of Blues New Orleans.

This year alone they have put nearly 60,000 miles on the road touring the US east of the Mississippi. At Three Blues fests this year, Ft. Madison 4th of July Blues Bash, Madison Indiana Ribber Fest Aug. 15 and The 26th annual Bucks Co. Picnic in Levittown PA., they out sold all the other bands combined in CD sales. Band like Debbie Davies, Mike Morgan and the Crawl and even Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers.

 

Pat Ramsey, a native son of Louisiana, born in Shreveport July 22, 1953 and David Renson a resident of New Orleans since 1976, born July 23, 1955. These two mesmerizing musicians have been partners since 1976. Pat Ramsey is a world renowned Harmonica player and David Renson has played in many bands in New Orleans. The way they interchange licks and “shot it out with each” other on stage is something no other blues band is doing. Over the past seven yrs. They have used different area musicians such as Dennis Cedeno (Brian Stoltz) and the late Will Ainsworth (Kenny Wayne Sheppard) on Bass Guitar. Now with a brand new rhythm section, John Wentzien on bass and Steve Howell on drums, they are stealing shows where ever they go.
